Dear brothers and sisters of Maxi Basketball

      It is a true pleasure to welcome you once again to our upcoming European Championship and to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the enormous support and confidence we continue to receive from all of you. I am deeply moved and incredibly proud to see that, despite the many alternatives that exist today in the world of masters basketball, our global community continues to choose FIMBA as the largest and most inclusive maxi basketball event in the world. Not only have we already surpassed the historical record of teams paying in advance, but we are also breaking every pre-registration record in Europe and beyond, which means we are heading toward the biggest European Championship in FIMBA’s history, with an unprecedented international presence.

As many of you know, at FIMBA we have always held ourselves to the highest standards, and we never stop striving to improve. We listen attentively to your suggestions, concerns and feedback, and we work tirelessly to ensure that your experience is better year after year. That is why I am pleased to announce that for this edition, all courts will have wooden flooring, all venues will have air conditioning, and several of the arenas selected are those used by the A1 Greek professional league, guaranteeing a level of quality worthy of our athletes. In addition, we have created a new area within FIMBA—the Office of the Sports Commissioner—responsible for ensuring that each court meets the full professional conditions our participants deserve: technical equipment, clocks, hydration, cleanliness, digital match sheets, and every operational detail required for a world-class event.

I would also like to thank all the teams that have already pre-registered and reassure you that every team pre-registered until today will have its participation guaranteed. However, due to local circumstances and the fact that this year we will use only top-level courts, it is very likely that we will soon need to close registration in the most crowded categories. We want as many teams as possible to be part of this celebration, but for this edition we will not sacrifice quality for quantity. For that reason, I strongly encourage those who have not yet completed their pre-registration to do so as soon as possible, so that no one misses the opportunity to join us.

I truly hope to see all of you in Athens to experience, once again, a genuine celebration of Maxi Basketball: unforgettable social events, nights full of joy, cultural moments by the sea, and the chance to play, compete, rest, and enjoy one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. It will be a championship to remember.
